Bulletin for April 10, 2011

Orders for the pie sales for the Guatemala Mission group need to be turned in today.  They will be here on Thursday April 21st.

There will be Love Feast & Communion service next Sunday evening, April 17th, at 7pm.    “So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you? Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am. If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet. For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you. Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him. If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them" (John 13:12-17).

Ladies Aide News:  They will be collecting non-perishable food items through April 17th for the Hoyes community food bank.  Collection containers will be in the vestibule.  The Ladies Aide will be once again sponsoring the Easter Egg Hunt on April 23rd.

The Walk for Hospice will be on April 30th.  If you would like to make a donation to the Hospice walk, please see Fayann.

jesus face paintingA father wanted to read a magazine but was being bothered by his little girl, Shelby. She wanted to know what the United States looked like. Finally, he tore a sheet out of his new magazine on which was printed the map of the country. Tearing it into small pieces, he gave it to Shelby and said, 'Go into the other room and see if you can put this together. This will show you our whole country today.'

After a few minutes, Shelby returned and handed him the map, correctly fitted and taped together. The father was surprised and asked how she had finished so quickly. 'Oh,' she said, 'on the other side of the paper is a picture of Jesus. When I got all of Jesus back where He belonged, then our country just came together.'
