Thank you to the Oak Grove Carolers for being a messenger of God’s love during this Christmas season. It was a blessing to all those who were visited.
The Christmas Laity Program has been set for next Sunday during church service. There will be no Sunday School on Christmas morning; but there will be church service.
There will be a Love Offering taken up today for the Moats family.
On behalf of Oakland Rotary Club and more importantly the needy children of Garrett County, THANK YOU. The Church did an outstanding job, especially considering it was immediately after 377 shoeboxes. There were fifty two tags on the Christmas tree and fifty one gifts were placed under the tree. EXCELLENT
Blanket Sunday continues today. $5.00 will purchase a blanket that will be distributed through Church World Service.
The 4th grade at Broadford Elementary is collecting and sending items to the Walter Reed Medical Center (a medical facility for wounded veterans). The children are doing this instead of exchanging gifts with each other at their Christmas party as a way to show caring and giving to others in need. Below are the items they are collecting. If you would like to contribute, please have your items at church no later than December 18th so that Teresa can take them to the school. Thank You!
