Bulletin for December 4, 2011
The group going to work at Boone, NC for Operation Christmas Child left this morning at 7am. Please keep them in prayer for journey mercies; they will be returning Wednesday night. Also pray for blessings as they work on these precious boxes and the lives that will be blessed.
The Christmas Laity Program has been set for December 18th during church service. There will be no Sunday School on Christmas morning; but there will be church service.
Don’t forget to have your Rotary Tree gifts here to the church by December 7th. On Saturday morning, Dec. 10th, the gift bags will be delivered. Any person interested in delivering the Christmas bags, please contact Jim or Shelby. Also, any student in need of community service hours, this project qualifies. If you have any questions, please contact Jim or Shelby Carmack at 301-387-5862.
There will be a Love Offering taken up next Sunday, December 10th, for the Moats family.
Today and next Sunday have been set as Blanket Sunday. $5.00 will purchase a blanket that will be distributed through Church World Service.
Invitation: The "Rodeheaver Cuzzins" Christmas party will be held this year at Angie Skipper Bray's home. (Same place as last year.) The date is December 10th at 3:00 p.m. Bring a covered dish and come enjoy the season with family and friends. Please tell your family if they may have not seen this bulletin.
The 4th grade at Broadford Elementary is collecting and sending items to the Walter Reed Medical Center (a medical facility for wounded veterans). The children are doing this instead of exchanging gifts with each other at their Christmas party as a way to show caring and giving to others in need. Below are the items they are collecting. If you would like to contribute, please have your items at church no later than December 18th so that Teresa can take them to the school. Thank You!
