Bulletin for April 4, 2010

Official Council will be held this Tuesday evening, April 6th at 7pm and General Council will be held on April 20th at 7pm.  Keep these meetings in prayer and attendance as they are vital to the growth of the church.  As a reminder: Official Council is for officers and teachers of the church to set agenda to be reviewed at General Council.  General Council is for general membership of the church with members only voting on issues.  However, anyone is invited to attend to hear the ongoing issues involving the church.

News from West Marva about Shiloh Church:
“A number of people from various churches of the West Marva District have inquired about what help they can give as we begin our rebuild at Shiloh.  We are in need of SKILLED labor in a number of areas.  We are looking for volunteers to commit one week to help us in these areas.  The week will be sometime in June.  At this time we are not firm on the date.    The areas we are seeking help are skilled electricians, skilled plumbers, skilled carpenters and skilled dry wall hangers.  Interested persons can contact by phone or e-mail at  304-788-0013 or glclem@comcast.net.”             Garry Clem, pastor of Shiloh Church On Saturday, April 10, 2010 Maple Spring COB in Eglon, WV will be having an all you can eat Buckwheat Cake and Sausage Dinner as a fund raiser to help Shiloh Church rebuild after the fire. Dinners will start at noon and run until 8:00 at the cost of $7.00 for adults, $4.00 for 10 and under and pre-school are free. Come on out for good food, fellowship, and to help Shiloh!

Bible Study on Wednesday evenings @ 7pm.

The following information was received from Hospice of Garrett County.  Would you like to make a difference in the lives of the terminally ill and their families?  Volunteers from the congregation can help provide compassionate care by providing companionship through friendly visits or telephone calls, shopping, light housekeeping, cooking meals or running errands.  Volunteers may also provide respite care and relief for family caregivers by caring for their loved ones for a few hours a week.  Hospice will be conducting Spring volunteer training classes beginning April 10 and conclude April 24.  They will be held Saturdays 8:30am-3pm.  If interested or want further information call Hospice at 301-334-5151 or contact Deb Workman.

The Walk for Hospice will be held on May 1st.  If you are interested in making a donation Fayann will have a donation container in the vestibule beginning next Sunday.  Hospice does a great ministry, so please remember them with your prayers and support.
