We would like to welcome Anne & Ilhamie Konor, who are the missionaries working at the Indian Reservation in South Dakota and running the Windswept Academy School. The VBS will also be presenting them with their mission offering.
The Sunday School picnic will be held following church service in the church pavilion. Hamburgers and hot dogs will be provided by the Sunday School (as well as paper products) – so stay for the fellowship.
You are invited to Bill & Dottie Sines’ Annual Corn Roast. It will be on September 5th at 5:00pm. Bring a covered dish and join the fun! Rain or Shine!!!
Looking ahead – Official Council is September 7th and General Council is September 21st. With that in mind, please be praying about where God can use you in the church. Don’t wait to be contacted – volunteer to further His Kingdom!
Children, age 3-5th grade, are invited to attend Children’s Church every Sunday, beginning September 5th. They meet in the Basement Classroom beginning when the morning Church Offering is being taken and ends when Church concludes. Join them for the blessing of worship and fun!

Here is the list of events for any one interested in the “60 Hour Famine” taking place at Pine Grove. Please share this with your church and invite others. Please also remember that you do not need to be present to participate in sending your donations.
Friday, September 10th at 7:30 pm- candle light service for the hungry, prayer service at Pine Grove Church of the Brethren. Every 5 seconds a candle will be blown out to represent each child who will have past away from hunger. Amanda Lewis will be speaking and sharing 10 stories from the bible that speak of hunger.
10:00 pm- prayer walk through Oakland
12:00 midnight- devotions and camping in cardboard box at Piney Mt. Campgrounds, Sang Run Road
Saturday September 11th
Clean up at campground/walkthrough campgrounds offering prayer, bibles, etc.
10 am- visiting community, asking for donations, handing out bibles, etc
12 noon- Drive By Prayer (fun event), door to door donation seeking, sharing of gospel
2 pm- making school kits for the New Covenant School we are raising money for
3 pm- community project (yet to be determined, could be fixing someone's house, picking up litter, etc.)
5 pm- shelter built for anyone staying over night (decorating card board boxes)
6 pm- movie night at Pine Grove Church of the Brethren-
secrets of Jonathon Sperry, and Letters to God
10 pm- campfire prayers, devotions, etc.
Sunday, September 12 8 am- Break-fast meal
